THE TEAM

CALLIE

A fragrance lover from the start, Callie’s scented memories began with annual Christmas Eve visits to her local perfume boutique with her father. Mesmerised by the bottles, the potions within, and the theatre of elaborate wrapping, she knew she’d found her happy place.

In the UK, she has trained alongside perfumers Sarah McCartney (4160 Tuesdays) and Karen Gilbert, and is particularly intrigued by the growing field of neuroscience that supports her belief in the power of perfume.

Founder

In her professional life as an instructional designer, she explores how scent can enhance learning experiences – especially when paired with virtual reality.

An alumna of the Grasse Institute of Perfumery and the Institute of Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles, Callie continues her training with both institutions. She’s found her tribe within the international perfume community and can often be found at industry gatherings, nose-first, in the company of fellow scent obsessives.

AMANDA

Amanda’s path into wellbeing began over 25 years ago with Hatha yoga – a practice she first embraced to navigate grief, anxiety, and physical pain. In seeking calm, she discovered not just relief, but a calling.

Ten years ago, she encountered Zen yoga and meditation, and these practices became her anchor. She’s since trained as a teacher in meditation, mindfulness, and Zen yoga, dedicating herself to sharing the tools that have transformed her own life.

Wellbeing Partner

Amanda’s teaching is rooted in the living lineage of Zen Master Julian Daizan Skinner and Dr Mark Westmoquette, developed through Zenways – a tradition that blends the stillness of meditation with embodied practice and sensory awareness. She deepened her study through Dr Westmoquette’s Shugyō training, an ongoing exploration of embodiment and the art of living awake. Grounded in presence and shaped by inquiry, her work carries this spirit forward – through movement, breath, and stillness.

CORINNE

Curiosity about scent has been Corinne’s companion since childhood. Growing up above Cannes, her earliest olfactory memories are scented with mimosa, orange blossom, rose, and jasmine – the perfumes of the hills themselves.

After more than fifteen years in Paris as an event planner, Corinne pursued her true passion at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in 2004, gaining deep expertise in perfume history, raw materials, and formulation.

Her desire to share the magic of scent led her to found Connessens in 2006, offering bespoke olfactory workshops and event experiences.

Perfumer

Today, she is a highly sought-after perfumer, partnering with world-renowned brands including Lancôme, Maserati, and Radisson Blu.

Locally, Corinne continues to nurture perfume culture as a senior guide and trainer at some of Grasse’s most prestigious establishments, including Lancôme’s Domaine de la Rose, Fragonard, and the Musée International de la Parfumerie, along with their gardens.

DIANNE

An art historian, author, and biographer, Diane has been sharing French heritage with passion and precision since 1995. Through her agency, Ad Vitame, she brings her expertise to the world of perfumery – illuminating its heritage, characters, and craft with her signature flair for storytelling.

A regular speaker at cultural events and conferences, Diane is known for her ability to make history feel alive, weaving art, scent, and society into one seamless thread.

Art Historian

In Grasse, she leads olfactory workshops at Fragonard and the International Perfume Museum, where her audiences are drawn in by her depth of knowledge and unmistakable wit.

Whether she’s exploring the legacy of Christian Dior, the link between flavour and fragrance, or the tale of Grasse’s ‘white gold,’ Diane’s narrative reminds us that perfume is as much about culture as it is chemistry and creation.

ORGANISATIONS WE WORK WITH

  • Pure Signature is the fragrant brainchild of perfumer Frédéric Badie and his business partner Willy Chataigner, born from a shared desire to bring rare and exquisite ingredients to a wider audience. Every creation reflects their unwavering commitment to naturalness and traceability, with each stage of the transformation process carefully overseen to ensure the oils are as exceptional as the craft behind them. Rooted in the UNESCO-recognised savoir-faire of Grasse, Pure Signature celebrates the region’s heritage, where tradition and innovation are woven into every drop.

  • The International Perfume Museum is the world’s only museum dedicated entirely to the art and history of scent. Founded in 1989 in the heart of Grasse, it traces perfume’s journey through time – from the cultivation of raw materials to the glamour of the bottle. Explore how fragrance and fashion became intertwined as you listen to the stories of the world’s great noses. Beautifully curated and quietly captivating, it’s where fragrance reveals its story through sight, sound, and scent.

  • In the unique setting of the International Perfume Museum’s Gardens, discover a living archive of the plants that have gifted us perfume materials for centuries. Rose centifolia, jasmine, tuberose, lavender, geranium, juniper and orange blossom thrive side by side, their aromas carried on the Riviera breeze. Lovingly cultivated to preserve biodiversity and perfume heritage, the gardens offer a rare glimpse into Grasse’s olfactory profile and field-to-bottle tradition. Our knowledgeable guides will take you on an aromatic adventure that’s as enlightening as it is fragrant.

  • Our partnership with Cécile is grounded in shared values – warmth, authenticity, and a reverence for detail. With her thoughtful touch and deep understanding of hospitality, she ensures every stay feels seamless and personal. Her quiet professionalism and gentle charm shape the atmosphere of the house, creating a space that feels both refined and restorative – the perfect backdrop to our scented journeys.

  • Pays de Grasse Tourisme is devoted to the enjoyment, appreciation, and preservation of Grasse and its surrounding landscape. Its mission, now recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2018), unites local groups and communities in safeguarding the region’s unique savoir-faire – from the cultivation of perfume plants and mastery of raw materials to the art of composition itself. Grasse remains the beating heart of perfumery, with new initiatives supporting local growers and reviving the fields that define its identity. To contribute to this mission is both a privilege and a responsibility – one The Scented Circle embraces wholeheartedly.
